XFT'S FG XR8 Makes 683 RWKW'S

After the dissaster with the new SCJ engine having the fuel issue and leaning out and hurting a piston and block we had to build a new motor in time for the AUTO X show at burswood. With it only being completed by the day of the show it was great to see it make a huge 916 RWHP.

Super Cobra Jet engine arrives

The Super Cobra Jet engine has landed! With time against us to get the engine fitted to do our first lot of testing at the track with the 4.0 whipple in place pressure is now on to get the project moving and moving fast.

 

 

 
Xtreme's big blower comparison

As quick as I built my first ally blocked 5.4 for test's it was sold, with under 1000 km on the clock it will now reside under the hood of a very nice Pursuit ute.

Now to replace it and improve on it. Something not easily done when your armed with a 2.8 H Kenne bell blower combined with a BPR blower kit complementing the whole package.

With the release of the 4.0 Whipple and then the release of the new Kenne Bell LC range of coolers I figured it was time for a shoot out!. I like many others just want the best for there cars and im ny case there customers.

Rather then be told told by the people who make the blowers whos is best I want to find out for myself.

With the release of Ford 2010 Mustang Cobra Jet they then released the all ally engine with 4.0 whipple to the public. http://www.carthrottle.com/ford-2010-mustang-cobra-jet/

So I bought one!.

Time for testing!

I've talked with Paul and Chris from BPR to organise hopefully a 3.6 LC blower for the back to back blower shootout!

King of the Road GT 500

At XFT we were lucky enough to get the chance to work on one of the most beautiful Mustangs around. The King of the Road Shelby GT 500 Mustang would have to be one of the finest pieces of motoring machinery I have been lucky enough to work on. Call came in from Craig Dean of Mustang Motorsport asking us to fit the awesome Kenne Bell Mammoth kit to one of his customers GT 500’s and also fit some new 6 piston rear brakes! Well you could imagine how quick I was to reply with a yes no problems mate!

 

Here you can see the Initial pictures of the car with stock setup intact. Followed closely with a stock power run before we go to work!

 Another great weekend.

Collie weekend Over!.
XFT FG F6 Most HP 826 RWHP forced induction winner.
Fastest Street car for Ford was Kenvin Otway's XFT built and prepped BF F6 running 52's.
XFT's Kenne Bell blowen ute coming 3rd fastest street car for Ford's and I was only there to do skids!(Got some video footage).
Special mention to a friend of mine Peter from Mainline motors who's XW who is fully built ...by himself ran a whopping 510 rwhp(N/A) and ran 52's around collie aswell.

XFT's 2MUCHHP goes Aluminum

With XFT now offering the aluminum 5.4 blocks we have been SWAMPED with enquiries regarding us supplying complete engine. As many of you already know I wont sell something that we havent already tested ourselves. I had an offer on the table for my current engine so it made sence to build an ali one to find all the little issues we would have and get the knowledge needed to start building these monsters for customers.

I tested some minor changes on ports that I was keen to try and built the first proto engine. Fitted it and fired it yesturday. Everything so far looks great, Car handles and steers quite different, Kinda weird when you consider its not ALOT different in weight, only around 50 kilos but its made ahuge impact. Initial run up showed a drop in boost so the head porting is working perfectly. Then it was time to test the new throttle body that XFT will now be stocking. It gained 38 RWKW's with the new throttle body over the original twin 60 mm. Ill get some graphs up when I get a chance to finish the tuning. The blocks themselves are a very well set up piece. With some minor changes to suit our Australian gear they certainly are going to make for some interesting builds around the country.

Ramons F6F makes 560 RWKW'S
Had Ramons F6 back this week to fit his new Injector Dynamics (Same as XFT'S 2MUCHKW) injectors fitted. Ran a VERY stout 561 RWKW'S 23.5 pounds  on E85. Congrats mate, its the ultimate street weapon. A stereo that will  melt your eardrums, a look that just makes any man drool and the power to give you heart palpitations.  Again mate thanks for the privilege of working on your car.

We have just recieved our first batch of aluminum 5.4 Ford Motorsport blocks. With the first one to be assembled by weeks end.

  • Machined for wet sump block mount modular oil pump, modular wet sump oil pan, dipstick, torque converter access and starter mounting pocket
  • 356-T6 aluminum casting with cast iron sleeves
  • Finish honed 90.2mm bore, ready to assemble.

    Xtreme/Active Drag day

    With the 2nd XFT drag day done it was a day of destruction. Phill watson breaking 2 halfshaft's. XFT's FG F6 only manging to do 2 runs before breaking a halfshaft aswell. XFT's FG Kenne Bell S/C XR8 only getting one pass down before twisting the tail shaft off.

    So XFT's FG F6 Did 11.5 @ 135 mph with a 2.0 60 ft.

    XFT's XR8 did a 11.1 @ 129 mph with a 2.0 60 ft

    Daniel Otway's Termnator broke 2 half shafts aswell and only got 1 pass done. 10.9 @ 136 2.0 60 ft

    Kevin Otways BF F6 XFT prepped and driven by Simon from XFT on its First pass recorded a 10.87 @ 130 MPH wth a 1.7 60 ft.

    Ashley Mackeys Force 6 did a 10.87 @ 129 mph with Smon behind the wheel aswell and a 1.7 60 ft, It also recorded a 11.4 @ 129 on its every day street rubber.

    John Bavich struggled with traction all day and posted a 12.01 and has plenty left in it.

    DJ Kice ran his FG XR6T and on street tyres managed a 11.5 @ 125 mph.

    Mark in his manual BF Ran low 12's all day long on his street rubber. Wife Dionne ran her XR5 and ran a PB aswell.

    Eddie from Actives had a handfull of fast Holdens runing.

    All in all a great day. with plenty of other results. We are putting a video togther now and hope to have it up in the next day or 2.

    Ramons F6F Come to life!

    Ramons BF F6 fired into life lastnight and cranked over 480 RWKW's with its run in tune. This car is just amazing to view and if your ever given the chance make sure you have a look at it. Its the sort of car that we all wish we could build. Well done mate. Thanks for the chance to work on your amazing machine.

    Xtreme on the move!

    Hi all !. Xtreme Ford Tuning will be on the move and in it's new premises by the end of the week and operating as usual for business  monday the 29th. The premises offers larger floor space and better parking. With a complete revamp inside from top to bottom. With a designated engine building room, dyno area, work bays and lots more.     Xtreme's F6 wins Dyno 6cyl Forced

    Xtreme's FG F6 won the forced induction dyno comp at the  Performance Street and Race car show held at Burswood Dome on the weekend (Made 789 RWHP), Daniel Otway's Kenne Bell, S/Ced AU taking out most HP Ford forced induction V8 section.

    Phil Watson resets his record.

    Phil watson a private track day today has reset his existing manual record by running an 11.13 with a 1.66 60 ft today at the Perth motorplex.

    Daniel Otway also had a crack today and managed to run an orsm 10.98 in his 4.6 litre Kenne Belle supercharged manual AU

    2009 Collie weekend

    Collie Ford V Holden track weekend at Collie came to a close on Sunday and it was great to see so many of Team Xtreme down there showing what our Fords are made for. Kicking Butt!. Congratulations to all who went and made the event a success.

     

    The results for Team Xtreme where amazing and I couldnt have wished for more. Phil Watson, Kevin Otway and Daniel Otway all had GREAT results with Phil taking out fastest street car Ford, running a best of a 52 lap time.

     

    XFT's FG F6 took out the most powerful car for the weekend with 813 RWHP.

    Xtreme's New FG XR8 Ute

    Simon of Xtreme Ford Tuning has acquired a new FG XR8 ute to see what is possible with a force-fed 8 cylinder in comparison to a turbo 6 cylinder.

    The new ute has now had its 2000km old engine removed, rebuilt and refitted into its engine bay with a 2.8 H Kenne Bell super charger.

     Initial tests at 13.7 PSI of boost have now seen power jump to 458.9 RWKW's. With the boost soon to be set to 23-25 PSI we will be expecting our power goals to be met.

    Since initial run of the XFT KB ute its now passed the 500 rwkw mark. First it made 500 RWKW's on 15 pounds. Then it made 533 rwkw's on 17 pounds.

    Xtreme FG Update

    Xtreme's FG F6 was the first FG to make 500, then 600 and 700 rwkw's. Our new development engine is almost complete and ready to tackle the 800 rwkw mark and beyond.

    Once it is up and finished XFT will be happy to have an open night to the public to demostrate some power runs followed by pizzas and a social gathering at XFT's premises in Midvale.

    Xtreme Ford Tuning's new FG F6 has stormed into the latest Perth Street Car magazine!

     
    Fastest BA/F Manual Record

    Phil Watson was the Australian record holder for the BA/F series of cars in his XFT-prepared Octane manual BF F6, running Nizpro engine and XFT custom tune, Cobra Kit, Nizpro exhaust manifold and Nizpro prepped Garrett Turbo. Phil ran a best ET of 11.13 @ 127 MPH(with only 460 rwkw's), After narrowly having it taken off him recently by an Eastern States car he soon hopes to reclaim his title with his new XFT built engine.

    Big congrats to the current car that has has the record.

    Phil previously held the fastest 6 speed auto record with his XFT-prepared BF F6 with a 11.19 @ 125 MPH
